How do I place my order?
1. Place your order through the website
2. Scan in your recipe, note, photo, or image you'd like on the item at 300dpi if possible.
3. Go to the page of the item you would like to purchase and upload your image(s) to the website by clicking CHOOSE FILE. If you are unable to upload please email files and design requests to me at SoulKitchenKeepsakes@gmail.com and I will confirm receipt and compatibility of file for the item you purchased.
4. Item will arrive in 2-3 weeks or less. If you need something sooner just let me know in your email and if the kilns are not booked I will do my best to get it sent out to you as soon as possible
How long will the images last on your items? Will they scratch or flake off?
All handwriting and images are permanently fired at high temperatures to become part of the glaze. The images will not wear off. Some shops use paints, decals or other various baked on techniques to make dishes--this is not permanent, food-safe, or dishwasher safe over time. Soul Kitchen Keepsakes only offers kiln-fired items which are fully functional--food safe, dishwasher, microwave, and some are even oven safe. With care, your custom keepsakes will last indefinitely.
How do I get you the handwriting or photo I would like on my dish?
You can email your photo/scanned love note/recipe/artwork to: SoulKitchenKeepsakes@gmail.com
I will touch up your image digitally and remove any stains and imperfections if requested and resize it to fit the item it's going on, and turn it into the perfect one of a kind keepsake.
What type of files will work best for my handwritten image?
Scanned handwriting works best but if you have no access to a scanner you can email a clear photo of the recipe, preferably at 300dpi in jpeg, pdf, or photoshop. **If you are using fonts please create them to outlines first.
Can you only print in sepia tones?
We only offer sepia toned images, as this adds to the classic heirloom look and feel of our items.
Are your items food safe?
All tableware and Baking Dishes are completely food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe, oven safe (baking dishes) and lead-free.
Are your items Dishwasher, Microwave, and Oven safe?
Yes! The plates you see are all dishwasher/microwave safe. The baking dishes are all dishwasher/microwave/oven safe.

Can you retouch poor quality recipes?
I am experienced in graphic design and photo retouching. I will adjust your images to ensure the highest quality possible. Scanned images work best. I can usually work with any .jpg, .psd or .pdf file. The higher quality image you send, the better the resolution will be on the actual keepsake. If the image is very low resolution it may become pixelated. Please try to have your image at 300 dpi if possible for the best quality image.
I can use screen-shots of photos from Instagram, Facebook, etc. You can either scan in handwritten notes or usually even just photograph your note and I can use that. If the image is very low quality it would be best to choose a smaller item as to avoid pixelated images. Any questions please feel free to ask!
Do you take custom item orders?
If there is something you'd like to have made that you don't see listed--please ask! I love making new things for people and I'm open to your ideas to create the perfect gift for you.
I have noticed you have some dishes displayed with fonts or daisies in corners, can you add that to my recipe?
I can add that to your recipe! If you would like me to add a title (Grandma's Famous Apple Pie, for example) I can do that for you at no extra charge! When you email me your recipe just let me know what title or graphic you'd like me to add for you!
Do you ship outside the USA?
I do ship internationally! Please email me what you would like to order and I will give you a shipping quote!
What if I don't like my handwriting?
I am experienced in graphic design and would love to create a custom design for you. If you have a typed recipe or love note that you would rather have in an actual font I can take it and adjust it to create something you will love.

What is the turnaround time for custom items?
Please note turnaround time is generally about 10 days. Occasionally items are damaged in the firing process and need to be refired more than once but in general about 10 days is standard. It takes time and care to touch up your file digitally and firing in the kiln is not a quick process but I promise it will be worth the wait!
What shipping carrier do you use?
I ship all orders by USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance for quick and safe delivery. If your item is heavy and or large it will be shipped UPS. If you need rush delivery USPS Priority Express mail is available, please email me at SoulKitchenKeepsakes@gmail.com for a shipping quote.
Returns and Damage during Shipment:
I will gladly replace any broken items that were damaged in transit. I ship by priority mail with tracking, which includes shipping insurance. Many times I will ship larger items separately to make sure they all arrive to you undamaged. If I made a mistake on the order I will gladly replace your item and reship it to you free of charge.
